During the 15-day Lunar New Year celebration characterized by familial reunions and time-honored rituals, Holy Miracles Temple in Pasadena and Jen Chen Buddhism Sanger Mission organized the charity campaign “Charitable Acts to Benefit Our Community Together.” This long-running initiative partners the temple with local non-profit organizations to promote and distribute the donation of goods, bringing warmth and hope to those in need.
As the world ushered in the Year of the Horse, San Francisco’s Hua Zang Si Temple marked the Lunar New Year with a three-day Chinese New Year Blessing Dharma Assembly, held February 17–19. The Dharma Assembly coincided with the beginning of the Lunar New Year on February 17 and honored the enduring cultural and spiritual traditions cherished by Asian communities worldwide.

In January, Buddhist communities worldwide observed H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Day, commemorating the occasion through ceremonies, acts of service, and educational programs. The observance reflected teachings that emphasize cultivation, moral integrity, and compassion, offering participants a chance to express reverence through meaningful action while fostering harmony within their communities.
To honor the Holy Birthday of Amitabha Buddha, the Buddha of the Western Paradise of Ultimate Bliss, four Buddhist organizations — the World Buddhism Association Headquarters (WBAH), Holy Miracles Temple, Hongfa Temple, and Sanger Mission — jointly hosted a Dharma Assembly at the Grand Hall of Holy Miracles Temple in Pasadena. The ceremony was presided over by Dharma Master Jiaozun Zhengda, Vice President of WBAH. Hundreds of Buddhists from across multiple nations attended the Dharma Assembly.
On the morning of October 29, 2025, the H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Cultural and Art Museum hosted a life release event at the Marina Del Rey harbor, drawing spiritual leaders and community members from across Southern California.
