The Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III (our Office) just received the inquiry from the World Buddhism Association Headquarters, which stated that some people issued a document of initiative for establishing a “Foundation for Protecting and Supporting the True Dharma of the Tathagata” and asked us whether we knew of the situation or not. The Inquiry letter is as follows:
Subject: Respectfully ask for a reply from the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III
From: World Buddhism Association Headquarters
To: hhdcb3office
Respected Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III,
We received a document of initiative planning to establish a “Foundation for Protecting and Supporting the True Dharma of the Tathagata” from China. We have made inquiries to the International Buddhism Sangha Association and the affiliated temples and organizations. None of the parties we made inquiries to knew about this matter. We do not know whether the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III knows about this matter or not. Some people have already called WBAH by phone to inquire about this matter. We do not know how we should reply to them. Please provide us with information.
With respectful wishes for auspiciousness!

In response to the inquiry from WBAH, our Office specifically provides the following information:
The Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III does not know what type of organization this “Foundation for Protecting and Supporting the True Dharma of the Tathagata” is or who formed it and has no knowledge at all about this matter. Only after receiving the inquiry did we know the existence of the said document of initiative. Today, our office beseeched instruction from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III said,
“Around 11pm yesterday evening, a Buddhist named Baizhe Lamu said that a person in China asked her to report the establishment of the ‘Foundation for Protecting and Supporting the True Dharma of the Tathagata.’ I told Baizhe Lamu that I do not participate in the affairs of this ‘Foundation for Protecting and Supporting the True Dharma of Tathagata,’ but I had a suggestion to make. I asked her to inform them not to do anything that breaks the law. A person who is a Buddhist must not forget the basic foundation of being a Buddhist. A Buddhist should clearly know what a Buddhist should do.”
We hereby provide the above reply to your inquiry.
